HOW TO PLAY

To register for the competition visit http://www.hockeyman.net

Sign-up using one of the following platforms as your password manager: Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo.  It is free, simple and quick, all that is needed is a valid email to confirm your registration and create your Hockey Manager account.

You can get involved in any of the current Hockey Manager games in play.

Prizes are awarded only for the Atlas Hockey Dream Team HWL competition.

For your club to be eligible to win the club prize then you need to have a minimum of 10 clubmates participating. When entering your team you will be asked to create your Pseudo/Username, your team name & alongside this you will need to provide your club name, starting with a #. Eg <YourName> <#Clubname> or SuperCoach #WinchesterHC.

Club positions will be determined by the average points score across participants using the specific #Clubname.

Setting Up Your Team

Visit http://www.hockeyman.net/ and click on the Atlas Hockey Dream Team – Men’s HWL Final 2017 tab.

Click the ‘manage’ tab to make your player selections.  

To view each team use the ‘Select a Team’ drop down menu, make your country selection & press the ‘Load Players’ button.

Repeat the process across the teams to select your virtual playing group, making sure you stay within the budget, positional & team parameters.

Team Selection

You may select a select a squad of 15 players from the 8 nations participating, consisting of;

                                                            2 x Goalkeepers

                                                            4 x Defenders

                                                            5 x Midfielders

                                                            4 x Forwards.

You may only select a maximum of 3 players from any 1 participating nation.

You cannot exceed your team budget of 3000 ‘caps’.

This based on international caps earned by an individual player.

Each virtual coach can build only one virtual team per competition.

Changes to team rosters may be made between the conclusion of the last round of pool games and the first game of the quarter finals.  You must select your initial team before the lock out period begins on 12/1/2017 9:15 AM (UTC).

Scoring Points

All 15 players in your squad earn points for your team based on the real players' & teams performances across every game of the HWL finals, with the scoring rules defined below.

Points for the team: Victory: +30 / Defeat: 0 / Draw: +10

For each goal conceded by a winning or drawing team: FWD or MID: -2 / DEF: -3 / GK: -4

For each goal for a defeated team: GK: -6 / DEF: -5 / FWD or MID: -3

Points for individuals playing: Per game played: +3 / No game played: 0 (unable to score/lose pts)

Points per individual goal scored: FWD: 10 / MID: 15 / DEF: 20 / GK: 30

Shoot out goals are not considered. There is no points difference from the type of goal scored (field goal, penalty corner or penalty stroke) all count for the same value.

Clean Sheet: DEF: 5 / GK: 15

Cards: Per Green: -3 / Per Yellow: -5 / Per Red: -10

Predictions

Score predictions are open up to 2 hours before the first game of the day, and closed up to 2 hours after the last game of the day. Your goal is to find each game result, and you can do so for an overall competition in one shot, or adjust it over the time.

Prediction Points: Exact Score: +12 / Draw (but incorrect score): +7 / Correct Winning or Losing team (but not correct result): +3 / Correct Team Score (but not correct result): +3 / Correct Goal Difference (but not correct result): +2.

Conditions of Entry

1. The promoter is: The Reverse Stick Podcast & HockeyMan.net

2. The competition is open to anyone anywhere except those connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

8. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as detailed above.

9. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

10. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

11. The prize is as follows:    1st Prize: 1 x Atlas Black Jet Stick + Atlas All Equip Bag

                                                       2nd Prize: 1 x Atlas Cobra Stick + Atlas Club Bag

                                                       3rd Prize: 1 x Atlas ZX900 Stick + Atlas My Pack Mini

                                                       Club Prize: 12 x Atlas Balls + 12 x Atlas Cones + Atlas Carry Bag.

12. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

13. Winners will be selected from their position on the competition ladder at the end of the tournament.  Should any 2 players be tied on points at the end of the tournament, then the promoter will determine a winner via the toss of a coin in the presence of an independent adjudicator.

14. The winner will be notified by email and/or DM on Twitter/Facebook and/or letter within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

15. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.

16. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

18. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

19. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

20. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. 21. The Reverse Stick Podcast & Hockeyman.net‘s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

22. The Reverse Stick Podcast & Hockeyman.net shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

23. The Reverse Stick Podcast & Hockeyman.net also reserve the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
